Outdoor screenings for Wimbledon
Having spent a wonderful day at Wimbledon on Monday, I've been looking for an updated list of places to watch all the action live in London if you can't get to SW19.
Live screenings from SW19 are part of a London summer. Have you got lucky with the ballot this year? If not, here are 7 locations where you can catch an outdoor screening live from SW19.Â
Soak up the atmosphere, grab a Pimm's & get your strawberries and cream. London gets better and better at making the big screens accessible so you don’t miss any of the action. This year Wimbledon runs from 1 - 14 July.
Canary Wharf : Summer Screens | An entire programme of screenings, concerts etc, but Wimbledon every day from Monday 1 July at 11am.
A Summer of Sport at Eccleston Yards in collaboration with Boodles. Wimbledon screenings: Daily from 1-14 July.
Screen on the Canal : Daily from midday on the banks of Regent's canal during Wimbledon. Check the listings for evening matches, as they have outdoor cinema.
Summer by The River : Daily from midday at The Scoop with Pimms and strawberries & cream alongside.Â
Islington Square : Daily from 11am except Sunday from midday in partnership with Urban Food Fest and over the Wimbledon weekends there is the artisan market to enjoy.
Hamyard Centre Court-Yard : A screen is up in their ‘yard’ with afternoon tea and cocktails to take you through all the daily action.
Merchant Square : Paddington Basin has all the action daily over the two weeks, with lots of restaurants alongside to feed and water you.
Wimbledon weekend final.
Strawberries and Screen returns to Duke of York Square : Semi-final and final viewing for the biggest games in the English tennis calendar. Booking opens 3 July for comfy deck chairs.
Extra spots : Greenwich, I spotted on someone’s stories they have a screen up by the Naval College, so if you are passing check it is up - it doesn’t seem to be advertised anywhere officially.
If you are looking for other things to do in London this month, check out the July Super Seven over on Little London Whispers on Substack.
If you like this post or any other post at Little London Whispers, please pop a little heart up as it helps get the post viewed - it also helps me know what you are enjoying.
