Tucked away on a quiet corner of Kinnerton Street in Belgravia, Pétrus by Gordon Ramsay is a dining experience that quietly whispers luxury – and then blows you away with its food. The chef at the helm of Pétrus is Orson Vergnaud.
With its Michelin star status and elegant interiors, this is fine dining with finesse, perfect for a special occasion or a truly indulgent evening out in London. I was there for lunch with my foodie connoisseur Milly Kenny-Ryder who works with The World’s Best 50, and knows more than a thing or two about fine dining and food in general.
Pétrus Restaurant | What we ate
We were given a bespoke tasting menu according to our food preferences and I think it is the way to go if you're after the full Pétrus experience.
We began with the theatrics of Organic Spelt with Wye Valley asparagus and a mixed jus with a chicken broth. It was absolutely delicious.
I had the perfectly seared Isle of Skye scallops, with a side of olive oil sabayon.

Milly had a seasonal vegetarian starter that was as beautiful, as it was bursting with flavour.
We both had the Rabbit à la Royale as our main, which wasn’t too heavy and perfectly balanced in texture and taste.
Our palette cleanser was the most divine basil and strawberry sorbet.
Before my finale was a silky chocolate sphere dessert, Plaisir Sucré with a chocolate cremeaux with hazelnut. It’s drama and decadence on a plate.
Service is flawless, attentive without being intrusive, and the sommelier’s wine pairings were exceptional – the restaurant’s famous floor-to-ceiling wine cellar isn’t just for show.
If you’re looking for one of the best fine dining restaurants in Belgravia, Pétrus more than delivers. It’s polished, precise, and yet still feels relaxed – a rare balance.
Book well ahead, dress the part, and prepare to be spoilt.
